This residence consists of an historic portion of an existing home, an addition, and a guest house that balance the massing and articulation of South Florida mediterannean architecture with contemporary construction and craftsmanship in an exposed hurricane zone. The project was built in two phases, with initial completion of the guest house, allowing continuous use of the property through the duration of the project. The composition of the house maintains views of the historic wing from the public street while careful use of the landscape creates a privacy buffer for the remainder of the property.
