Daybreak Clubhouse | South Jordan, Utah

This clubhouse is designed to serve the growing needs of the active adult community in the Daybreak community, near Salt Lake City, Utah. Programmatic requirements included ADA accessibility for all spaces, a small reception space, exercise rooms, and an events yard adjacent to a lap pool. Particular care was given to the pedestrian approaches to the site within a broader New Urbanist community, in addition to sustainable considerations such as maximizing natural light and ventilation. The stylistic character is intended to give a civic presence without dominating the central green, which was accomplished in the English Romantic massing and rooflines.
